For those of you who are looking to get a custom tattoo done with Helen, whether you are looking to cover a design, enhance a design, claim an original flash design or having Helen to customise a design based off your own concepts, please read through her booking info below before committing to a deposit.

There are some subjective matter she is unable to execute as custom design, cover ups or fix-ups based on her spiritual beliefs.

✤ Snakes and Dragons.
✤ Religious Symbols ie. Crosses, Praying hand, or Gods of any religion including Satanism.
✤ Quotes of hate and despair.
✤ Humanoid Demonic characters from Animes.

Understanding the value of a tattoo design.

✤ Charging by piece price usually means the artist can get an idea of how much time and effort they need to complete the design. It’s like pricing a painting. If the artist can gauge the estimate price of the piece just by looking at it, then you will likely be given a piece price from Helen.
✤ Piece price are usually given in $100 range. It’s a flexibility range for both artist and client to be able to make last minute adjustments for resizing, adding details, or more colour.
Ex: Estimate Price would be $280-$380
And the final price will be given based on the estimate once the tattoo is completed.

✤ Charging by hourly usually means the artist have no idea of how much time and effort they would need to complete the design. So hourly are usually used for tattoos that needed more than 3.5 hours of tattoo time.

✤ Charging by day rate usually means the artist only work on large pieces that needs a full day of tattooing and would rather earn a fix income than charging by hourly. Day rate can range from $1200~$1800 per session, and that means you are getting tattooed anywhere in between 4 hours to longest 8 hours of tattooing. If you have committed to a day rate with the artist, you will be paying that amount even if you cannot sit through 4 hours of tattooing. So please be mindful what you signed up for. (Helen Doesn’t do day rate, but feel free to request it)

Budgeting

✤ If you are on a tight budget, please work your way to save up for your tattoo instead of devaluing an artist’s work by bargaining with the artist. This should work toward every type of artists out there and not just toward tattoo artists.
✤ Learn to respect an artist’s work, tattoo is meant to be on your body forever, so don’t expect to purchase a BMW for the price of a Toyota, the quality does matter.
